It’s hard to believe we are already celebrating the 4th of July this weekend. The summer is flying by but it is not too late to make memories and enjoy the beautiful weather still. Here are three recommendations on summer fun activities you can do, even if your original plans were canceled.
Picnic
Is there a better way to enjoy summer than to grab some of your favorite treats and eat them outdoors with your loved ones? We don’t think so! Consider making a few of your family’s favorites and bringing them to a local park, the beach, or even in your backyard. There is no better way to make memories than around an outdoor meal.
Hiking
Are you still a little stir-crazy from quarantine? Consider taking a hike with your family or a friend. West Michigan has outstanding hiking trails to explore and enjoy for all fitness levels. Here are a few of our recommendations to check out! The Saugatuck Dunes State Park have wonderful wooded areas that lead to Lake Michigan. If you’re looking for a flat and more leisure walk check out Riley Trails. Interested in a good workout? Consider Mt. Baldhead with 302 steps that lead to the beautiful coastal beach of Lake Michigan.
Berry Picking
Looking for an activity to burn some energy while having fun at the same time? Consider berry picking! Not only are you able to enjoy the nice summer weather, but you’ll be able to have fresh produce to enjoy for days to come. Here are some of Holland’s favorites.
