Do you ever feel that you’re barely keeping up with the demands on your plate? Whether that be work, the home, family commitments, or other responsibilities, we can oftentimes feel as though we have too many things that are asking for our attention and not enough time to tend to each of them.
In this blog post, we could like to provide 3 ways to level up your week. Yes, this will involve work, but we hope in the meantime it eliminates some of the pressure you feel and increase efficiency in your day-to-day responsibilities.
1. Have A Weekly House Schedule
Our first recommendation is to have a weekly house schedule. What do we mean by this? We recommend having a set schedule for when you do particular tasks each week, such as grocery shopping, chores, laundry, etc. When you have a set day or time to do each task, you waste less time because you don’t have to wonder what needs to be done that day.
2. Have A Game Plan for Meal Time
Have you ever gone to your fridge at a loss for what there is to eat? Not only can this be frustrating, but this also lead to unhealthy eating, purchasing take-out, or simply overspending on your next grocery haul. Instead, when you have a game plan for meal time, you are able to prepare in advance what you plan on cooking so that the meat can be ready, the veggies washed, and the proper ingredients ready. You don’t need to have elaborate meals, you, just simply have a basic meal idea ready to begin each day. The success of this point starts with planning when you grocery shop.
3. Have A Rest Day
Our final recommendation is to incorporate a “Rest Day” into your weekly schedule. In a culture where the hustle is seen as a positive thing, we encourage you to intentionally take a day or time of rest throughout your chaotic week. Not only will this allow your body to take some much need time to slow down, but this also allows you to have time in your schedule to participate in life-giving activities or spend time with life-giving people. We know you won’t regret it!
