Every person, no matter their commitments, age, preferences, or geographic location, comes face-to-face with the limitations of time. We are all given 24 hours each day to use for basic life necessities, work, responsibilities, leisure, and joys. In this blog post, we would like to give you three ways to manage your time well.
Know Your Responsibilities
It is easy to become overwhelmed with our to-do lists when we simply try to go frantically from day to day. We all have a lot on our plates. In order to effectively steward your time well, it is important to know your responsibilities from a bird’s-eye view. We encourage you to write all of your responsibilities down and categorize them. This will give you perspective on whether too much is on your plate, or if you have fewer commitments than you thought but not prioritizing well.

Clear Your Headspace
These days, our smartphones and technology devices take up significant space in our minds. The media we consume, the messages, social media, and more all take up mental space as well as actual time in our days. When we allow ourselves to be filled with digital resources, we lose the power to effectively manage our days and utilize them to the fullest.
Embrace Accountability
Finally, being a wise steward of your time sounds great in theory, but for many, it is hard to execute. That’s where accountability comes in. When we choose to lean into others to give us insight, ask the hard questions, and keep us on track, we can then truly meet our goals and use our time wisely.
Find a close friend or family member to hold you accountable. Have them check in weekly or have your tech send reports to them. Come up with a 1, 6, and 12 month game plan. You’ll be so glad you did.
