Where did 2025 go? We can’t believe that we are already in the holiday season, full of the festivities and fun this time of year brings. Despite the nostalgia and joy you may feel, we would like to encourage you to embrace the holidays in a new and fresh way.
Embrace the Holidays By Slowing Down

This goes against most of our calendars this time of year, but as we truly embrace the holidays this year, it is important to slow down. What do we mean by this? Slow down enough to enjoy each sip of hot cocoa. Slow down enough to become mesmerized by the twinkly lights. Slow down enough to notice small details of the season you may have grown accustomed to or missed in years past.
When we slow down, not only does it allow us to see Christmas in a new light, but it also can be grounding for us to truly enjoy the season before it flies by.
Embrace the Holidays By Trying Something New
Are you in the routine of simply doing the same things each year in the month of December? Consider trying something new! This can be as simple as a new route to look at Christmas lights, a new Christmas movie, or a new outing for the family.
A couple of new things we would recommend checking out in the Holland area are:
Holland’s New Ice Rink- NOW OPEN!
Crane’s Apple Orchard Drive-Thru Light Show- Beginning this Sunday, November 30
Embrace the Holidays By Making A New Tradition

Traditions don’t have to be elaborate or expensive, but they do require attention and planning. Is your family into music and stories? Consider ending each evening by the Christmas tree singing carols or reading Christmas classics. Are you and your spouse into baking? Try new, authentic Christmas dishes or pastries each week from around the world. Do you feel as though you miss the reason for the season each year? Find a new Advent book that can lead you and your family on a journey to celebrating the greatest gift ever given.
We pray this holiday season not only be memorable and special, but also fill you with Christ’s peace, love, and joy.
